Cornyn Prepping for Party Head?

Cornyn’s recent slamming of Rush (and Newt’s) comments on Sotomayor as “terrible” is both remarkable and revealing.  Remarkable because, historically, only a few have dared to go up against the GOP godfather.  Like clockwork, prodigal repubs grovel at his feet just hours after transgressing.  But more importantly, I think Cornyn’s comments are revealing because they tip off the beginning of a power shift inside the Rep. party. With many anxiously awaiting the dethroning of Rush and Cheney, Cornyn could be positioning himself for a takeover.  I hightly doubt he would have come out against Rush, just to take it back 24 hours later.  And, I’m guessing Cornyn wants to keep the pair he just grew.

  1. He, Cornyn, doesn’t have a pair and lacks the wherewithal to grow them.
This guy is yet another spineless RINO. A pair-less “moderate”.
Just like the wimp, RNC chair Michael Steele.
Charles Krauthammer nails it today in the Washington Post, and by extension confirms that Gingrich and Limbaugh are spot-on right to be outraged by this nominee’s arrogance, as am I.
CK: “Since the 2008 election, people have been asking what conservatism stands for. Well, if nothing else, it stands unequivocally against justice as empathy — and unequivocally for the principle of blind justice.”
