Hillary Clinton returned to the Senate this afternoon amidst applause and cheers.   She briefly talked with reporters shooting down VP speculation, saying “I am not seeking any other position…It is not something that I think about.  This is totally Senator Obama’s decision and that’s the way it should be.”

On John McCain’s aggressive courtship of her primary voters, Clinton responded, “Anyone who voted for me has very little in common with the Republican party…If you care about the issues I care about and the future that I outline in my campaign, then you really have to stay with us in the Democratic party and vote Senator Obama to be our next president.”

The Democratic leadership was at her side as she made her remarks, so what’s the relationship like for Clinton and her Senate peers now, especially Reid and Pelosi who either came out in support of Obama or pushed for an early end to the primary race?  Pelosi did say she believes Clinton “will run again.”  Question is, will she support her?
